The Founders

Dr. Ali Kassamali, MD

Dr. Ali Kassamali (or Ali, as he'd insist his clients call him) is our Head Nutritionist and a double board-certified physician with a background in Economics and Psychology from Emory University, post-baccalaureate studies at NYU, and medical training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Anesthesiology and fellowship in Interventional Pain Management, he spent ten years treating patients with chronic pain and spine conditions.

During those years, Ali saw just how many health issues could have been prevented with better nutrition, movement, and lifestyle habits. That realization sparked his passion for helping people take control of their health long before illness begins.

Today, Ali blends his medical expertise, experience as a certified trainer, and a deep understanding of physiology to design personalized fitness and nutrition programs for people of all ages and backgrounds — from athletes and busy parents to seniors working to improve their labs and quality of life.

Lauren Kassamali

Lauren Kassamali is a certified trainer with a lifelong love of fitness and a heart for helping people feel healthier and more confident in their everyday lives. She earned her BSBA from the University of Florida in marketing, communications, and entrepreneurship, later building a career in marketing in Los Angeles and Atlanta before becoming a full-time mom.

Her athletic background began at age three in a mom-and-tot gymnastics class and grew into a decade of competitive gymnastics, followed by cheerleading, diving, and eventually cheering at the University of Florida. As an adult, she found a new passion in CrossFit and the community and structure it brought. Her health journey deepened even further at age 25, when a breast cancer diagnosis reshaped her view of the role nutrition plays in overall wellness.

Today, Lauren channels her passion for health into the heart of Legacy Training's operations, client experience, and community building.
